God does not see America in terms of party affiliation. He is not a Republican or a Democrat. He does not take sides except for one central issue.
For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
We are all either saved or unsaved. There are saved Republicans and unsaved Republicans. The same is true of all Democrats. Politics has nothing to do with what is most important.
There are two groups of people in God’s eyes – those who believe and accept Christ and those who reject Christ. There are no other groups of people. We are either in Christ or not. We are either in faith in the work of Christ on the cross or we do not trust Him for whatever reason. The choice has been placed before us all.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him. John 3:36
All of us will be saved from the wrath of God by believing in the Son. Notice that the entire human race is by default in sin, guilty and deserving condemnation. That is very bad news but the bad news becomes good news when we realize that Christ took our condemnation on the cross to save us. He took our place! But, that will not benefit us if we refuse the Sacrifice made on our behalf.
Jesus did not come into the world to condemn the world. He came to save it. He came to make a way of escape from our impossibly hopeless situation. Every one of us needs to be saved from our sins. We cannot enter heaven with sin. That means that we will be eternally separated from God if we reject Christ. There is no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood according to God’s Word. Sin requires the death penalty. It will be Christ’s death or your death.
How Does God see America? How does God see the world? We need to take God most seriously about the decision we must make. No decision for Christ is a decision. No one will have an excuse. All have been given revelation sufficient to be accountable to God.
Let’s see America and the world from God’s point of view. It is not Republican or Democrat, it’s not Catholic or Protestant. It’s not Black or White. It’s not Male or Female. It is not any two groups! In God’s eyes, there is only One Body, One Spirit, One Church, One Head. We have been given free will to choose to be in or out. See I set before you life or death, now choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19).
Here is the will of God for every American (every Democrat and every Republican) who is a follower of Jesus Christ. He wants one nation under God not division along party lines.
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:2-6
