Communism is not simply another good option at the ballot box. Communism is evil and a disgrace. Kirk Cameron does an excellent job describing why it is so horrible. The fact that we are able to allow Communists to have free speech is a testimony to our superior American Republic. Only in America is there freedom granted to actually allow anyone to run for office with a platform to destroy the very nation granting such liberty. If the roles were reversed, we can be assured that we would have no such freedom.
Communism is anti-Christian and certainly anti-God, there is no room for any authority above the “leaders” who are sinful human beings who will destroy society if given the power. Karl Marx is just as big a sinner as Lenin as Stalin as Hitler and more recently Mao. Why is there any desire to trust a murderous group of people who have sworn to have a revolution of destruction rather than a platform of reform?
Here is the track record:
- China: Estimated 65 million deaths (primarily during the Great Leap Forward famine and political campaigns like the Cultural Revolution).
- Soviet Union: Estimated 20 million deaths (via the Gulag system, the Great Purge, and forced collectivization famines like the Holodomor).
- Cambodia: Estimated 1.7 million to 2 million deaths (under the Khmer Rouge’s radical agrarian policies and executions).
- Other Regimes: Additional hundreds of thousands to millions of deaths across North Korea, Vietnam, Eastern Europe, Ethiopia, and Afghanistan.
