Becoming Unoffendable

If we are in the will of God, we will love every person just as God loves every person, This is a love that is unconditional and often undeserved.
Great peace have they who love thy law, nothing shall offend them. Psalm 119:165 (KJV)

We are about to enter 2026 and that means we are all going to be tempted to take offense over differences with others and sin by others. If we take offense, it will damage us greatly. We will fall into bitterness, anger and separation. God’s answer for the hurt inflicted by others and by our own unforgiveness is to obey His command to love everybody. Sound simple? It’s not. We are human and we have a sinful nature and that nature finds it very difficult to forgive. We are going to be tested in 2026. Will we forgive all the sins committed against us? Will we love every single person according to the will of God? Will we repent?

Please listen to John Bever and his son (video below) as they describe the very real world of conflict that we will face especially in social media. If we are in the will of God, we will love every person just as God loves every person, This is a love that is unconditional and often undeserved. We are called to love our enemies. Look at the verse at the top of the page. It says “great peace have they who love thy law”. What is that law?

Love God with all your heart, mind and soul and love your neighbor as you love yourself.

If you keep those two commandments, you will fulfill all the rest. Question: Do you hate anybody? Are you refusing to forgive anybody? To the degree that you refuse to love and forgive, you will suffer consequences. These are the real issues of 2026. Will Christians truly follow Christ and serve Christ as Lord over all the issues of their life.

Obedience will produce the fruits of the Holy Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. God wants all of those blessings for you so that you can truly have a Happy New Year. The most important matters to God in 2026 is not the economy, not elections, probably not even our resolutions. What counts the most?

The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Galatians 5:6
